the season after winter

That season would be spring.

It's been spring for about  weeks now and it's only starting to feel like it now. It's great that it's finally starting to warm up because potatoes are not enjoying the cold weather at all. Potatoes tend to freeze and so they look like those vegetables in the frozen food aisle of the grocery store and that offends them because it's a shame to make potatoes less beautiful by putting them in plastic bags, unable to showcase each of their unique beauty. Fortunately, it's now rain falling from the sky rather than snow which is great for potatoes because as the saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers (and baby potatoes)".  Baby potatoes are always exciting because you never know when they'll pop out and how they'll look like. It's always a surprise because you might think that it's a flower growing then suddenly a baby potato appears, as baby potatoes may sometimes appear in unusual places. We absolutely love seeing their birth in a garden because it looks so dramatic with all the colourful flowers around it, acting like a bed for the potato. The birth of baby potatoes also add to the many things celebrated during the spring. Unfortunately, spring is also a time for cleaning and couch potatoes hate this. They must make sure that everything looks nice so that those vegetables that grow in the spring will feel welcomed. This season is also when many animals come back or out of where they stayed safe during the winter. This means that life for potatoes become more dangerous because they have to worry about being eaten. There are also those humans that find baby potatoes really adorable that they must look out for because those humans tend to keep the potatoes for themselves. Spring also means that summer is getting closer and that means that school is almost over, yay!

How do you like spring?
Tell us all those feelings regarding this season that you've kept bottled up inside all this time, we're very good listeners.

Potato Compliments

Hello! Don't you just love the feeling of being complimented? We sure do! And you know what? Potatoes love them even more! So while we were in economics class our teacher started giving people compliments and we wondered why she didn't compliment them on a deeper, potatoey-er level. Then we realized not everyone is half potato like us. Since you probably don't know what's appropriate to say to a potato we'll help you out so that if you find that special someone they'll really take note of how smooth you are with your words ;)

So without further delay, here are... *drumroll please* the list of the best potato compliments!!!!!!!
-I like your skin
-I like how you look in brown, it is beautifully natural
-Your shape is unlike any other

-The way you sit on that couch is very graceful

-I like how fresh you look after being dug out of the ground
-That ketchup/gravy looks so good on you

-You look beautiful inside and out

These next two are the product of our hunger and may not work as effectively. Please use with caution.
-You light up my tummy with your golden-ness (after a hot oil bath)

-My heart skips a beat everytime I see you (because it means I finally get to eat)

And that is how you compliment a potato (and half potatoes like ourselves of course)! Good luck and tell us how it worked out!

march break

Happy March Break/Spring Break/whatever you call it.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful break! No school however there is work. Sorry for those who work, maybe this is make your day a little better.

First things first as this is a week of everyones life where there's either lots of relaxation (especially if you are a student) or some stress (especially if you are a parent [your kids are at home all week]). This week is to give students a break from school but for some reason some teachers assign homework. If you had homework we feel sorry for you. We can try to help you if you tweet us. *wink wink nudge nudge* We aren't sure if we can answer all your questions but we can give it a try. We don't know where March Break came from but potatoes celebrate this week by actually marching around and having a big festival. They celebreate two important days, which will be explained in the following paragraphs.

The first fesitval is daylight savings. On this day the clock goes forward one hour. Younger potatoes see this as a form of time travelling and therefore there is a whole festival for the younger potatoes that is time travel themed. As for the older potatoes it is a time that they get wiser. They skip a whole hour therefore regaining all the knowledge they forgot before. They see past memories that were forgotten and remember facts that they learned a while back and couldn't remember them. They celebrate by watching a screen in private that shows them their memories and then get hooked up to a device that refills their mind with the facts they had forgotten.

The second festival is PI DAY. It just happens that we are blobbing on Pi day, so HAPPY PI DAY! If you can't figure out how is today pi day well its the 3rd month and 14th day, therefore 3.14 which is pi in mathematics. If anyone has a tumblr they might have
seen many math puns. (We shall include some for your entertainment. Dont judge there are some funny ones.) Share your favourites with us, we love some good puns.

We were going to attach a few photos but couldn't decide which we wanted so here's a few links to math puns:

As this week comes to an end don't forget that it's almost St.Patricks Day! It is also another celebration that potatoes have. They go around painting the farm green and having a green paint fight. Everything you can imagine is done on this day in celebration of their Irish Potato family members. Remember to wear green or else you will be pinched. GOOD LUCK & STAY SAFE!!

Chief Executive Potatoes

So you've heard of CEOs, as in THE BOSS, right? Well, the great world of potatoes have them too, only they're called CEPs, short for Chief Executive Potato. Why would there be such thing as a CEP? Well because there are potato businesses and so someone has to be head of that. Some businesses include retail, service, and finance. Those in retail are responsible for the clothes that potatoes sometimes wear (refer to blob called "HOOOOT POTATOOO"). There is a great deal of potatoes in service because this can range from dealing with restaurants to being the decorating committee for special events. There are fewer potatoes in finance because it's not that big of an industry. Most potatoes that work there are the ones that control trades like ones involving farmland. Of course, there are many ways to run a business. It could be co-operatively, where there are many potatoes who all work together to fulfil their needs. It could be a franchise like how many restaurants are. We would love to continue to tell you about these potato businesses but we have to go to a business meeting. Don't worry we'll tell you all about it some other time.

adventurous potatoes

Hello!

Today we went on an adventure! You see Gabriela has never had a Starbucks coffee, she only had the hot chocolate. Also we needed to destress so we went out. After fighting the cold we made it to Starbucks, enjoyed our coffee and missioned back home.

We were very potato like today. Usually potatoes will disguise themselves and attempt human-only stuff like fancy over-priced coffee. The coffee that potatoes have is fertilizer dissolved in water. So when they hear of unusual places that sell human-only drinks they attempt to try it. It doesnt harm them but it does cause a few side-affects that last a few days.

These side-affects can be best described how Stitch sometimes acted in the movie "Lilo and Stitch." If you haven't watched that movie we highly recommaned it! Anyways the scene that would best relate to the side affects would be when Stitch was locked in the tube thingy and started licking the glass and than stole the ship. This is all in the beginning part of the movie.

After experiencing these side affects potatoes are watched because human-only foods are highly addictive to potatoes. However we are lucky and are half potato we dont get as affected.

Tell us about your Starbucks experience!

All Potatoes School

Hi!
So at school today, we realized something. We realized that we talk about potatoes going to school all the time but we've never mentioned how an all potatoes school works. So it's about time that we do. The subjects taught at those schools are actually quite similar to those taught in human schools, the big difference is that they all relate to the lives of potatoes.

The subjects taught there are:

MATH: where they learn to find the circumference of a potato (helpful when building tunnels) and calculate the area of land available

GEOGRAPHY: where they learn about different lands that potatoes can grow in and where you can visit

RELIGION: they believe in the potad, he is the creator and so they learn about him there

ENGLISH: where they learn to understand human language

MARKETING: where they learn to advertise the dangers, vacations, and shops

GYM: this helps them get into shape before they travel

SCIENCE: where they learn how to prevent mold and how to take care of roots

PHOTOGRAPHY: where they learn about potato modelling

HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM: where they learn the ways potatoes get tortured, where these locations are found and how to avoid them. They also learn about famous potato places.

HISTORY: where they learn about the wars between vegetables and how it affected the present

ART: where they learn about carving and
stamping

DRAMA: where they learn how to act like they are rotten so humans wont try to eat them

GREEN INDUSTRIES: where they learn how to make dirt look nice and how to make a lovely home

COSMETOLOGY: where they learn how to apply dirt and other things around them to make them look unappealing to predators

PARENTING: where they learn how to take care of baby potatoes

ACCOUNTING: where they learn to keep track of money (helps if you have a business)

ECONOMICS: potato politics

ANTHROPOLOGY: where they learn about potatoes and how they work

COMPUTER SCIENCE: where they learn how machines used for potato torture work

HEALTH CARE: where they learn how to take care of elderly potatoes and simple first aid

LAW: where they learn to stay away from humans because the justice system tends to favour them even if youre right

CAREERS: where they learn about jobs of potatoes and how to start own business

CIVICS: where they learn how humans run the world

*insert some foreign language*: where they learn to talk to potatoes around the world and understand other creatures who are trying to plot against them

So there it is. We just gave away the answers to the great mystery of an all potato school. So maybe you should the us about the secrets behind the mystery of your school? *cough* email or tweet us *cough*
