the season after winter

That season would be spring.

It's been spring for about  weeks now and it's only starting to feel like it now. It's great that it's finally starting to warm up because potatoes are not enjoying the cold weather at all. Potatoes tend to freeze and so they look like those vegetables in the frozen food aisle of the grocery store and that offends them because it's a shame to make potatoes less beautiful by putting them in plastic bags, unable to showcase each of their unique beauty. Fortunately, it's now rain falling from the sky rather than snow which is great for potatoes because as the saying goes, "April showers bring May flowers (and baby potatoes)".  Baby potatoes are always exciting because you never know when they'll pop out and how they'll look like. It's always a surprise because you might think that it's a flower growing then suddenly a baby potato appears, as baby potatoes may sometimes appear in unusual places. We absolutely love seeing their birth in a garden because it looks so dramatic with all the colourful flowers around it, acting like a bed for the potato. The birth of baby potatoes also add to the many things celebrated during the spring. Unfortunately, spring is also a time for cleaning and couch potatoes hate this. They must make sure that everything looks nice so that those vegetables that grow in the spring will feel welcomed. This season is also when many animals come back or out of where they stayed safe during the winter. This means that life for potatoes become more dangerous because they have to worry about being eaten. There are also those humans that find baby potatoes really adorable that they must look out for because those humans tend to keep the potatoes for themselves. Spring also means that summer is getting closer and that means that school is almost over, yay!

How do you like spring?
Tell us all those feelings regarding this season that you've kept bottled up inside all this time, we're very good listeners.
