All Potatoes School

Hi!
So at school today, we realized something. We realized that we talk about potatoes going to school all the time but we've never mentioned how an all potatoes school works. So it's about time that we do. The subjects taught at those schools are actually quite similar to those taught in human schools, the big difference is that they all relate to the lives of potatoes.

The subjects taught there are:

MATH: where they learn to find the circumference of a potato (helpful when building tunnels) and calculate the area of land available

GEOGRAPHY: where they learn about different lands that potatoes can grow in and where you can visit

RELIGION: they believe in the potad, he is the creator and so they learn about him there

ENGLISH: where they learn to understand human language

MARKETING: where they learn to advertise the dangers, vacations, and shops

GYM: this helps them get into shape before they travel

SCIENCE: where they learn how to prevent mold and how to take care of roots

PHOTOGRAPHY: where they learn about potato modelling

HOSPITALITY AND TOURISM: where they learn the ways potatoes get tortured, where these locations are found and how to avoid them. They also learn about famous potato places.

HISTORY: where they learn about the wars between vegetables and how it affected the present

ART: where they learn about carving and
stamping

DRAMA: where they learn how to act like they are rotten so humans wont try to eat them

GREEN INDUSTRIES: where they learn how to make dirt look nice and how to make a lovely home

COSMETOLOGY: where they learn how to apply dirt and other things around them to make them look unappealing to predators

PARENTING: where they learn how to take care of baby potatoes

ACCOUNTING: where they learn to keep track of money (helps if you have a business)

ECONOMICS: potato politics

ANTHROPOLOGY: where they learn about potatoes and how they work

COMPUTER SCIENCE: where they learn how machines used for potato torture work

HEALTH CARE: where they learn how to take care of elderly potatoes and simple first aid

LAW: where they learn to stay away from humans because the justice system tends to favour them even if youre right

CAREERS: where they learn about jobs of potatoes and how to start own business

CIVICS: where they learn how humans run the world

*insert some foreign language*: where they learn to talk to potatoes around the world and understand other creatures who are trying to plot against them

So there it is. We just gave away the answers to the great mystery of an all potato school. So maybe you should the us about the secrets behind the mystery of your school? *cough* email or tweet us *cough*

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

As old traditions go here's some chocolates. Potato flavoured. ;) You may think we are strange but they taste pretty good.

Valentines day is a special day in the human world and the potato world. As creatures and humans living in the human world it is a given that you know what is going on. However you may not be aware of what happens in the potato world.

Potatoes celebrate Valentines day the same way as humans but with more extra flare. There is a big festival that happens on the farm. There is a myth that says this is the one day that potatoes can see who their soul mates are. Many potatoes get into relationships on this day. Meeting your soul mate is like finding a missing piece of yourself.

There is a big festival to celebrate the finding of soul mates. Every potato is dressed as fancy as possible and so are all the other creatures who are invited to the celebration. It is possible for potatoes to be soul mates with other creatures. Potatoes don't frown upon this however other creatures do. Potatoes welcome all creatures into their farm family.

Hope your valentines was sweet and special. Share your valentine stories with us.

What if...

...potatoes ruled the world?

We have many, many theories regarding this question so we'll share some with you!

We believe that if potatoes ruled the world they would turn the world into a giant version of the little world they are used to. They would cover everything in dirt so it's like the equivalent of our mansion. There would be lots and lots of brown because that colour helps keep potatoes happy since that's what they're used to seeing everyday. Potatoes would also ban the use of any potato products. This would really help potatoes because they would no longer fear the world. Since they are no longer scared then they can be more productive and will be able to freely express themselves. Potato rights would be recognized. The potato activities would happen on a large scale like the Olympics. It would be easier for potatoes to meet other potatoes from around the world because it would be easier to travel wherever. Many would also recognize that there are many different types of potatoes and they all have different essentials and so they would be treated better.

We think that it's also possible for potatoes to get rid of many buildings and replace them with farms. If you think about it, this isn't necessarily a bad thing since more farms means more plants which means a better environment and an overall healthier planet. The buildings that potatoes will decide to keep instead turning into farms will be the ones that they think is useful and you can be sure that potatoes have good judgement and will decide to keep what is important for comfortable and reasonable living.

We also think that if the world goes in the wrong potato's hands (or rather...roots..?), then it could mean our extinction. There is a possibility that they will treat us the way we treat them. They might decide to use us for art projects or meals or even games. They might carelessly handle us before mashing us. This is why we should be respectful towards them even though we are going to use them in an undesirable way for our benefit.

If potatoes ruled the world, there is also the possibility of having more halflings like us! This is so exciting because halflings show that it is very possible for potatoes and humans to coexist peacefully and happily. If there were more halflings then it would be easier for their voices to be heard and their ideas acted upon,
as there is strength in numbers. It would be easier to accept those that are different.

So what do you think? What if potatoes ruled the world? Let us know by connecting with us through email or twitter!

BRRRR(POTATO)RRRR

So lately it has been freezing over here. There have been snow storms and ice storms which makes for a really pretty scenery but is a bit of a hassle for many. Some who believes this are those who have to shovel the snow, like humans. Potatoes on the other hand don't really have problems with the snow because humans do all the hard work for them.

Potatoes see the winter time as magical and full of adventures. When it is summer there's a huge chance of them being cooked way before they prefer because sometimes the heat makes it feel like one inescapable oven. In the winter time they don't have to worry about this. Sometimes gets so cold that they freeze and when they finally thaw it's already been a few weeks or even months since they froze! This is like time travelling because they don't get older since the ice preserved their appearance. Of course, most of the time it doesn't get as cold as that. So to avoid being partially frozen, which is like being paralyzed, they bundle up. They use any clothes they may have, knit scarves, hats, and socks with any material they may have, and they even use the sacks they for racing as blankets. Once they are comfortable with their temperature many like to go out and play. If there ice outside, some like to collect it and use it to decorate their home and some like to make use of its sharpness towards chores. There are also a few who just like to go outside and watch the air as they heavily breathe in and out.

So how does the cold affect you? Tell us through twitter (@cambrielapotato) or through email (cambrielapotato@gmail.com)!!

Artistic Potatoes

Hey potoatoes & other creatures! Hope all is well. You all survived school and work and all that jazz? Yes? Okay good we got worried for a sec.

When humans are bored they may do some arts and crafts to entertain themselves. Some are so artistic they just make arts and crafts whenever they can. However have you ever seen potato art? No? Well it's actually quiet a brave thing for potatoes to be come a part of.

You see some potatoes aren't sent to torture chambers to be made into food. Some are actually used to make crafts. You probably don't understand what we mean, no worries we shall explain.

Some humans will use toothpicks or other stuff (clay, playdoh, straws, etc) to make sculptures. Adding other foods is common too. Here's an example:

Now some aren't as creative and will make stamps. You cut the potato in half and either hollow out a shape or you make a pop-up one. Next you dip the stamp part into paint or ink and you place on paper to leave the shape, like a stamp. Examples are below. The hollow one first and the pop-up second, all followed by a result of this art.

There's also the obvious art. CULINARY! These artists express potatoes through food. They will make them beautiful food centerpieces or delicious snacks or mouthwatering dinners. Here's a few examples.

Allow your creativity to flow with potatoes. These potatoes are the bravest and are highly honored in Potatoland. Share your creativity with us through email cambrielapotato@gmail.com or twitter @cambrielapotato .

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

So a few days ago it became the year 2014. The beginning of a new year means many celebrations for many, including potatoes. There are many reasons why potatoes celebrate this day. Some celebrate because they are thankful for still being alive, some celebrate because they see hope, and some just really like to party. Potatoes celebrate on the eve of new year's, through a variety of ways. Many have a HUGE meal with their loved ones. There are many who like to make music out of things they find like cartons and shovels while others like to sing and dance to this music. The younger potatoes tend to play games like sack racing and have snowball fights. There are also many potatoes that like to make their own fireworks by getting paint (or making their own using vegetable/fruit peels and mixing them in water) and throwing it as high up as they can. This tends to be a really noisy time but humans celebrate at this time too so they don't mind. By the time new year's day comes, potatoes are usually really tires and spend the rest of the day being couch potatoes.

How about you? How did you spend new year's day? Anyways, we hope that you remember that YOU ARE ALL LOVELY AND WE HOPE THAT YOUR NEW YEAR IS AS LOVELY AS YOU.
